Research Overview

Dr. Allyson Hadwin’s TIE Lab Team

Our research examines instruction and technologies to promote self-regulated, co-regulated and socially shared regulation of learning. We are interested in how students adapt and regulate learning in both solo and collaborative environments. For example, how can tasks, feedback, instructional scaffolds, and collaborative communication be harnessed to optimize learning? How can technologies be leveraged to support students to accurately interpret tasks, set appropriate goals to guide solo or collaborative learning, and choose, invent or adapt effective learning strategies?
