Mariel Miller is a 2nd year doctoral student studying under Dr. Allyson Hadwin. She has recently been awarded a 2-year Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) doctoral fellowship. Her Master’s research, also with Dr. Hadwin, indicated undergraduate students’ inaccurate perceptions of academic tasks strongly predict performance. Her doctoral research will extend these findings to examine task perceptions in collaborative group work in computer-supported environments. Congrats Mariel!
